Over the past 70 years, our community has partnered with Hoag to realize each next step in our vision, catalyzing change and innovation to improve patient care. As Hoag continues to push boundaries and lead the way, we invite you to be bold with us as a volunteer leader for the most ambitious capital fundraising campaign in Hoag’s history.
Campaign volunteer leaders’ generosity and vision make them some of Hoag’s most valued partners. Committees are comprised of dedicated friends and community leaders who join us to set an example through their giving and commitment to Hoag’s cause—and we are deeply grateful.
We are recruiting members for three additional committees to work alongside the Executive Committee in championing Hoag’s expansion.
Members provide strategic oversight and guidance, oversee all campaign volunteers, and serve as key ambassadors and advocates to ensure the success of the campaign.
Much like the city where it resides, the Sun Family Campus in Irvine is an evolving frontier. And like Irvine, the expansion of the Sun Family Campus is bringing innovation. From digital, touch-free check-in to state-of-theart operating rooms and everything in between, this innovation is transforming the patient experience at Hoag.
Separate from the focus areas of other committees, the members of Boldly Hoag Expansion Committee will have a wide scope of priorities. Their support will be crucial to fundraising for a vast range of initiatives across the campus that will be vital to not only its construction but all the essential functions within it.
As communities across South Orange County continue to grow, more and more women are finding themselves in search of a health care provider they can trust—one that offers expert, comprehensive services for them and their families. As women’s top choice in Orange County, Hoag is answering the call.
The members of the Boldly Hoag Women’s Health Committee will be staunch proponents of women’s health and the many areas it touches, from maternity services to breast and gynecological care and more. Through the dedication of these committee members, the new Women’s Health Pavilion will become an unparallel destination for comprehensive inpatient and outpatient women’s health care.
BOLDLY HOAG
As cancer research evolves, Hoag will not only be adopting the latest studies out of leading academic institutions but also writing and initiating them right here in Orange County. For our community, this means direct access to the most advanced cancer treatments available. For the Hoag Family Cancer Institute, it means reaching even greater heights and providing more of the highly personalized, comprehensive cancer care it’s known for.
A hallmark of the Institute is its collaboration across specialties. Building on the multidisciplinary, whole-person model of care offered by the Digestive Health Institute, expanded digestive health services in Irvine will offer patients
with chronic and complex digestive disease an integrated, evidenced-based approach to prevention, diagnostics, and treatment.
Members of the Boldly Hoag Cancer & Digestive Health Committee should be champions of change, helping transform the landscape of care and methods for both cancer care and digestive health.
Members serve as envoys for specific areas within Boldly Hoag, sharing information, opportunities, and enthusiasm for the campaign with their networks and supporting outreach across the region.
Committee members will serve through the duration of the capital campaign and provide philanthropic support, inspire others to give, offer critical advice, and more:
Attend three committee meetings per year, including a campaign volunteer summit
Identify donor prospects and facilitate introductions and meetings
· Assess and share community perspective, insight, and volunteer opportunities
· Gain familiarity with the committee’s institute focus and its philanthropic priorities
· Steward and express gratitude for Boldly Hoag donors
· Attend and/or host fundraising events, salons, s speaker series, tours, and committee meetings
· Participate philanthropically
· Hoag institute and administrative leaders will serve on the appropriate committees as honorary members
· Committee chairs will be appointed to lead committee meetings and encourage members to attend
Campaign committees will be supported by Hoag Hospital Foundation (HHF) staff. HHF will supply resource information, technical assistance, and administrative support. HHF will host and facilitate meetings, prepare meeting and solicitation materials, track and communicate fundraising progress, and more.
Volunteer leadership is essential to Hoag’s success. Because of the dedicated and generous volunteer leaders who share our mission to provide the highest quality health care, we are taking bold steps to expand and increase access to Hoag’s world-class programs and services.
