ear in and year out, the South Shore/Rhode Island team is right there fighting for the HNIB title. This year should be no exception, as returning coach Rob Gagnon of Cushing Academy is banking on another banner summer. Gagnon is well familiar with some of his forwards, including junior Shane Kavanagh, who put up an impressive 32 points in his first year with Cushing, establishing himself as a top prep
school forward. Also in the lineup from Cushing are senior Ed Belsky and senior Jon Palotta, who returns to the South/RI squad and can also play on the blue line. Another offensive talent back for another year is David Mitchell, part of a state title winning team at Bishop Hendricken in RI this past year. He will move on to Tabor for a repeat junior season. Paul Filippone, a senior to-be at Hendricken, will get his numbers on the score sheet as well.
