Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
40 Years of Excellence, A Legacy That Lives On — Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), Asia’s leading institution for performing arts. Over the past four decades, we have consistently nurtured talented young artists and guided them on their journey toward artistic excellence.
Ensemble work remains at the heart of our curriculum. With a team of professional faculty members, renowned artists, conductors, and distinguished alumni, we provide our students with expert guidance, elevating their ensemble performance skills and offering vital platforms for practice and performance. We are deeply grateful to our mentors, who play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of artists.
This academic year ’ s concerts, from the side-by-side performance with the IMES Joint Symphony Orchestra, made up of talented local students, Chinese Orchestra Concert in May to the Alumni Union Concert in June, all highlight the theme of “legacy.” These performances showcase the intergenerational transmission of knowledge and artistry, while reinforcing the students’ mission to foster creativity and promote music. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our alumni, whose unwavering support has strengthened the academy and extended its influence into the wider community.
Finally, I warmly invite you, dear friends, to join us in celebrating this 40-year journey. Let the performances of our young artists inspire, uplift, and remind us all of the power of creativity and collaboration as we embark on yet another beautiful chapter together.

四⼗載⾵華，傳承不息 ⾹港演藝學院四⼗週年誌慶
2024年，⾹港演藝學院迎來了四⼗週年誌慶。作為亞洲⾸屈⼀指的表演藝術殿 堂，四⼗年來，我們孜孜不倦地培育無數才華橫溢的年輕藝術家，助他們踏上 追求藝術卓越的征途。
⾳樂合奏訓練是⾳樂學院課程的核⼼。繼往開來，我們匯聚最優秀的師資團 隊、世界級藝術家及指揮家、以及傑出校友，為學⽣提供最精湛的指導，不斷 提升學⽣各類合奏的專業演奏能⼒，並提供合奏的練習和實踐平台。我們衷⼼ 感謝這些傑出的導師在培育下⼀代藝術家⽅⾯所發揮的關鍵作⽤。
今學年的⾳樂會，從由本地優秀中⼩學⽣組成的 IMES 聯合管弦樂團的並肩演 出, 五⽉份中樂團⾳樂會⾄六⽉份校友重聚⾳樂會，均展現出「傳承」的主題。
這些演出活動旨在展⽰跨世代知識和藝術的傳承，並強化同學們發揮創意與肩 負推廣⾳樂的使命。我們特別感謝校友們的無私奉獻，正是他們的⻑期⽀持， 令學院不斷壯⼤，影響深遠，並惠及整個社區。
最後，我誠意邀請每⼀位觀眾與我們攜⼿，共同慶祝這段四⼗載光輝歲⽉的歷 程。願我們年輕⼀代藝術家的演出，能夠啟發並感動每⼀位觀眾，在這個嶄新 且美好的篇章中，繼續發揮創意，並以凝聚的⾳樂⼒量譜寫未來。
