EWPA appoints training auditor
Auditor appointed to assess Yellow and Gold Card training standards
In preparation for a busy year of activity, the Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA) will be undertaking a thorough quality assurance review and audit throughout 2022.
The EWPA has engaged specialist, independent auditor, Pamela Martin, who is an accredited auditor with extensive experience in auditing and quality management systems.
The audit and review process will not only ensure that there is national consistency in the delivery of the Yellow Card and Gold Card training programs, but also strict compliance with the Accredited Trainers Manual and Code of Practice. Trainers will be assessed on their expertise in the training program requirements, assessment conditions, instructions, and application requirements.
Regularly reviewing training material, trainer credentials and modes of delivery is critical in ensuring that operators are trained to the highest standards available, giving further assurance to employers that they are fulfilling their duty of care obligations under WHS/OHS legislation in the most robust manner.
“We are pleased to have engaged an independent external auditor to assist with the legal requirements for the Yellow Card and Gold Card audit procedures so we can begin the important task of reviewing the EPWA and TSHA courses for 2022 and beyond,” said member for the EWPA Board and EWPA training committee, James Nightingale.
