1 27 July 2019
2 10 - 19 July 2019 15 second year NCC Cadets appeared for the test in connection with Vayu Sainik Camp Selection; and 10 cadets got selected for further training and theory classes at Air Force Station, TBM. The second year and third year NCC Cadets (30 Cadets) attended the Annual Training Camp at Veltech Multitech, Avadi 20 June 2019.
3 20 Aug. 2019 30 Cadets participated in the Anti Ragging Day
4 22 – 31 Aug. 2019 10 Cadets participated at the Inter Group Competition -2019.
5 11 - 20 Sept. 2019 9 cadets attended the VSC Pondicherry. - Training Camp held at 6 01 Oct. 2019 39 Cadets participated in Walk for Water Rally.
7 02 Oct. 2019: 15 Cadets participated in Fit India Rally.
8 5 - 15 Oct. 2019 8 Cadets represented TN P A&N Directorate in Camp at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Vayu Sainik 9 14 Feb. 2020 Blood Donation Camp jointly organized with Hindustan NSS. 10 22 Feb. 2020 Joined in Seed Ball plantation at Illalur organized by Hindustan NSS and HITSAA.

1. Rotary Citation
Rotaract Club received the “Rotary Citation with Platinum Distinction” for helping the needy.
2. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
The NSS Cell and Rotaract Club of Hindustan University started the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan activities in the adopted villages. The village survey and household survey were completed in Kayaar village on 20 July 2019.
3. . Rotaract Club Installation
The 5th Installation ceremony along with RACHCAS, RACHIET, RACKCG was organized on 24 July 2019 in Hindustan International School, Guindy. Rtn. Ashokraja, Director, Youth services 2019 -2020, was the chief guest and Rtn. Ashok Verghese, Director, HGI was the Guest of honor for the event.
4. Sudhandiradhinam & Rainwater Harvesting Awareness Campaign
The NSS Cell and Rotaract Club of Hindustan University celebrated the 73rd Independence Day at Govt., Girls Higher Sec. School, Kelambakkam on 15 Aug. 2019. Rtn. Alok Mimani was the Chief Guest and Rtn. Pranav was the Guest of Honour for the event.
5. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
The NSS Cell conducted various competitions for Government School students on theme “Rain Water Harvesting” on 13 Aug. 2019. The village survey and household survey were completed in Illallur and Pudupakkam village on 17 Aug. 2019.
6. Rotaract Club Orientation
Rotaract Club of Hindustan University had its Orientation Ceremony on 20 Aug. 2019 in MGR Hall, HITS. Rtn. PDRR. Solomon Victor was the speaker of the event. Around 250 students participated in the event.
7. One Student One Tree project
Hon’ble HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” launched a new campaign “One Student One Tree” on 20 July 2019. This initiative is in line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s idea of a green and healthy environment. This initiative need support of our young dynamic students and teachers. As a responsibility towards mother nature and contribution to this initiative, AICTE

recommend every institute to carry out a plantation drive. One student one tree scheme was inaugurated by Dr. M. P. Poonia Vice Chairman, AICTE on 7 Sept. 2019 along with Dr. K.P. Isaac, VC, HITS and Dr. Aby Sam, Director.
8. Blood Donation Camp
NSS Cell in association with Rotary Club of Chennai Capital (RCCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at HITS on 24 Sept. 2019 in view of NSS day. Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Verghese, Chancellor, HITS was the Chief Guest and Rtn. Sathish Jeyabalan President, Rotary Club of Chennai Capital was the Guest of Honor for the event. The Madras Voluntary Blood Bank along with Adyar Cancer Institute, Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Hospital and Kilpauk Medical College for the blood banks. The students and faculty of HITS actively participated in the blood donation camp and a total of 488 units were collected.
9. Award from Madras Voluntary Blood Donors Association
Received the Ashok Leyland Rolling Shield for mobilising the highest blood donors among Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu from Madras Voluntary Blood Donors Organization on 27 Sept. 2019 at Meena Muthiah Arts and Science College, Chennai.
10. Swachatta Hi Seva Campaign
Organized an Awareness Rally on 24 Sept. 2019 about the use of plastic and its effects. More than 100 students have participated in the event and more than 2000 students were given awareness through this rally.
11. Fit India Run
Conducted in collaboration with Chennaiyin FC on 02 Oct. 2019 to promote fitness and hygiene for all citizens, on the auspicious occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation. About 300 students and staff participated in the rally with zeal & enthusiasm.
12. Y’s Youth Camp
Mr. Albinus Sanjeevan and Ajay Kumar of the Y’s Men Club of Hindustan Youth attended a 3-day Regional Youth Camp at Yercaud on 1, 2 and 3 Nov. 2019 and have been selected as the “Best Youth” from the Madras District and to attend the Area Camp at Connor on 27, 28, 29 Dec. 2019.
13. Rain Coat Distribution
Y's Men Club of Hindustan Youth along with Y's Men Club of Mylapore, Y's Service Club of Karapakkam, Y's Men Club of OMR and Y's Men Club of Padappai have organized "500 Raincoats to Underprivileged School Children" event on 8 Nov. at KCG College of Technology. The Raincoats were sponsored by the KCG Varghese Charitable Foundation executed by YMC of Mylapore and its sponsored clubs; and distributed by Regional Director HRM Ysm. M. Prabhakaran in the presence of the Patron and Advisor HRM Ysm. Dr. Anand Jacob Varghese, Pro Chancellor, HITS.
