Hilltops Celebrates NAIDOC Week The Hilltops region celebrated NAIDOC Week last Thursday at the Department of Human Services Office in Young, with a morning tea and art displays showing off the best of the local Wiradjuri people. NAIDOC Week is nationally celebrated each year in recognition of the first Australians, and this year the event was held from Sunday July 2 to Sunday July 9. An art display was set up at the Department of Human Services office last week with works from Wiradjuri people of the Hilltops region, including Cheryl Fensom, Roy Levett, and Enid Clarke. Works of art from local schools, including Young North Public School, Young Public School, and Trinity Catholic Primary School in Murrumburrah, were also displayed.
