5. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHO LOVES COLOURS BUT IS AFRAID TO USE THEM IN THEIR HOME?

My advice to someone who loves colour, but who is afraid to use it, would be to ‘go for it!’ I know this is often easier said than done, particularly if it’s your first time, but injecting colour into your home is the surest and easiest way of creating a scheme that reflects your own personality and a space where you feel happy and content. The greatest piece of advice I could give would be to follow your instincts and choose one or two colours that you are naturally drawn to. If you love blue, then go for blue. Then, as your confidence grows, add a secondary colour. Create your scheme layer by layer. There is no point in trying to introduce a colour that you not are keen on, as the process will be far more difficult, and the end result will not reflect your individual style or personality. Remember, your interior should a personal reflection of you. It should make you and you alone happy. Be brave and be bold. Trust your instincts. Believe in yourself and be true to yourself.
