THIS WEEK’S BIG READ: KEN IS NOW A BARBIE!

Ncuti Gatwa, who played the Fifteenth Doctor in Doctor Who and was the show’s first openly queer Doctor, now has a Barbie doll made in his likeness. The doll was revealed at London’s MCM Comic Con and is already available for pre-order in the UK. Ncuti’s Barbie wears his standout season 14 outfit: a long brown leather coat, blue trousers, and a striped shirt.

Mattel, the company behind Barbie, says the doll captures the Doctor’s bold energy. Ncuti, who also played a Ken in the 2023 Barbie movie, said seeing himself as a Barbie was emotional and hopes the doll inspires young people to be themselves and dream big.
