If you cannot access your Weduc and require assistance, please contact your child’s year manager.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

School Transport update – 254 and 472 service

Derbyshire County Council have informed us of a change of operator for the 254 and 472 bus service. From 1 November 2021 the operator will change from Slacks to Linburg Bus and Coach.

The timetable and route of the service will remain the same and the new operator will ensure the service number is clearly displayed in the bus window.

Covid-19 testing

Thank you for helping to keep our community safe by continuing to test at home for Covid-19 symptoms. Up to one in three people who have Covid-19 can spread the virus without knowing because they have no symptoms.

Please ensure you report your twice weekly test results on the NHS Test and Trace site as well as to school on the links provided.

Further guidance on actions if a lateral flow test is positive are given in the Covid guidance reminders towards the back of the newsletter.

REMINDERS: Vaccination consent required

Thank you to parents/carers who have completed the consents for the forthcoming Covid-19 and flu vaccinations. Highfields School is operating as a venue for the administration of the vaccinations and the NHS Immunisation Team are responsible for the immunisations and guidance provided. If you have not already done so, please complete the electronic consent forms so the Immunisation Team know how many vaccinations to order for the forthcoming sessions. Due to an increasing number of reported Covid cases locally amongst young people of secondary school age, the Immunisation Team have requested that students wear a face covering to all vaccination sessions within school to prevent transmission and to help keep everyone safe and well.

Following national guidance, the NHS immunisation team will be offering the Covid-19 vaccination to young people aged 12–15 and will be continuing to use the e-consent as with other vaccine programmes.
