Howimportantwas thatwinlastweek againstStade Rochelais?

It’s been a massive momentum shift for us getting that win because we’ve been on the end of a few tough losses. We needed that boost of victory, and it also means a lot for the fans as well. When Manie lined up that kick, I could barely look and had to pray! I don’t know how 10s do it! But it’s great having a guy like that on our team.

Growing up watching with my dad, I remember a DHL Stormers-Vodacom Bulls game where they wore pink kit, and Tiaan Liebenberg was playing for us, and I’m

sure Brok Harris and Deon Fourie as well, and it just inspires you as a kid. The rivalry goes deep, and both teams are so proud to have the history that they have and the quality players they’ve had over the years. It’s really awesome to be a part of.

I do love to say I love to tackle, and I am looking forward to the physical battle a lot. The rest of the team is looking forward to it too, especially a good defensive performance. The Vodacom Bulls are looking strong this season, but we’re licking our lips to put them under pressure when they have the ball, force some errors and get a big hit in every now and then.

Facing the Vodacom Bulls always brings the best out of us, so it’s going to be a massive clash. To stun them we need to stick to our plan, and the coaches are coming up with a good one. Then it’s just about playing our hearts out and connecting as a unit and letting all that passion take over.

From a team vibe it was so good to get that release of a win last week, it means a lot for our confidence. They say the more you celebrate the better, and we’re going to take that feeling into the rest of the Vodacom URC and

COACH COACH Messagefromthe

Last week's dramatic win against Stade Rochelais was significant for a number of reasons, although the stress levels in the coach's box were through the roof at the end.

To beat the two-time Investec Champions Cup winners at DHL Stadium was a big moment for our team, especially given that they had to fight until after the final whistle to claim the win.

This week we face another major challenge as we go back into Vodacom United Rugby Championship action with a NorthSouth clash against our old rivals the Vodacom Bulls.

Matches between these two sides are always something special and we are expecting another classic at DHL Stadium on Saturday.

While we couldn't have been happier to win last week, we know that there are still a few areas that we can improve on and there has been plenty of hard work put in this week to ensure that we keep getting better.

There is no better feeling for our players than playing in front of a packed DHL Stadium, so thanks for your role in making matches like these memorable. The team will be doing all they can to make you proud once again.
