The late Queen Elizabeth II was an inspiration to moviemakers as well as so many other people around the world. Her Majesty appeared as a character in over 25 feature films and lives on in everything from Oscar winning dramas to wacky comedies.

There was Helen Mirren’s majestic performance in The Queen, royal impersonator Jeanette Charles playing her in hilarious films such as The Naked Gun and Austin Powers in Goldmember and many more. These images show just some of the movies which featured the magnificent monarch.

The Queen’s reign, life and legacy were celebrated at an elegant event in Los Angeles where members of the Royal Society of St George, including our own Sandro Monetti, paid tribute to her Majesty and toasted King Charles III.
