Cinematic storytelling on IMAX is taken to new creative heights in the acclaimed David Bowie documentary film, Moonage Daydream. A kaleidoscopic mix of vibrant images and colossal sound, director Brett Morgen spent four years preparing the movie for the ultimate immersive format. He hired the Oscar winning sound team from Bohemian Rhapsody to help him on the odyssey and the resuling tapestry of audio mixing and mesmerizing starburst has wowed critics and audience.

“I like thinking of my movies as theme park rides,” says Morgen, whose sonic and visual effects in this film have made IMAX screening rooms suddenly feel like rollercoasters.

David Bowie was an artist always looking or new way of creative expression and that clearly inspired the filmmakers to do the same.
