Nicolas Cage has made some all-time great action thrillers over the years, including Con Air, The Rockand Face/Off. Now he’s aiming for another with the currently filming Sympathy for the Devil. He plays an unstable carjacker who turns out to have a very particular motive for his crime. Joel Kinnaman co-stars in the Capstone film which is produced by Alex Lebovici and directed by YuvalAdler.

BLACK LOTUS

Action fans will be well served by the currently filming intense thriller Black Lotus. A two-man war played out on the streets of Amsterdam, it sees an ex-special forces agent played by Rico Verhoeven (Kickboxer: Retaliation) determined to take down a crime lord, played by Frank Grillo (of both the Captain America and Purge franchises). Director Todor Chapkanov knows his way around action films having previously been behind the camera on London Has Fallen and The Hitman’s Bodyguard.
