A way to lock apps on iPhone with Shortcuts, incorrect entries will be photographed
Users can lock apps on their iPhone by hiding apps or setting a password limit. These methods, however, are relatively complex and may be unstable if iOS encounters an error The following article will show you how to lock apps on iPhone extremely effectively using the Shortcuts app.
This method essentially creates a shortcut to the app you want to lock. When you enter the correct password, the shortcut activates and launches the desired app. If you enter the incorrect password, the shortcut is disabled, and the system takes a picture of the person performing it and saves it to the Library
This is a pretty cool feature that helps you identify who is trying to access your device without permission.
The steps are as follows:
Step 1 — Access this link and add it to your Shortcuts app.
Step 2 — Find the shortcut you just added, then select the three-dot icon in the upper right corner Perform the following actions:
— At “Open TikTok”, select the app you want to lock. You can lock most apps on iPhone, including system apps like Photos or Messages.
— The default unlock password will be “1234”. If you want to change it, tap on “1234” at If Input Provided is 1234.
Step 3 — At the bottom of the toolbar, select the Share icon > Add to Home Screen.
— Rename “Lock App” to the name of the app you want to lock, such as Facebook or TikTok.
— Access your browser, download the icon of the app you want to lock. Then, change the app icon, then select Add to save changes.
Step 4 — Go back to the home screen, you will see two apps with the same name (in the picture is Facebook). At this point, you need to hide the original app icon by holding down on that app > Delete App > Delete from Home Screen.
Finally, on the home screen there is only one locked app icon that you added from the Shortcuts app.
To use it, you need to enter the correct password that you set before. If not, the system will take a picture of whoever is trying to access and save it to Library.
