King Hickory Furniture Company has been a familyowned business for nearly 67 years. In 1958, they began manufacturing fine upholstered furniture in Hickory, North Carolina. King Hickory furniture is constructed in the finest traditions of quality and dependability. By using the latest computerized technology and materials, highly skilled craftsmen produce a product that provides lasting beauty and comfort for everyday life. This advancement in technology has allowed their furniture designers to create unique frame shapes that were not possible in the past.

King Hickory has used three major assets in building its reputation over the years; solid frames, master craftsmen, and 8-way hand-tied springs. Many of their master craftsmen have been with the company for more than a quarter of a century.

Hickory and the surrounding Catawba Valley region are world renowned for the manufacturing of upholstered furniture. The close proximity to some of the finest Appalachian hardwoods influenced the location of the furniture manufacturing industry in this area.

A skilled workforce that takes much pride in building fine furniture has been an even greater reason for the establishment of the furniture industry in Hickory.
