It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Country Club of Ocala. It is the intent of this orientation program to familiarize you and your family with club facilities, services, amenities, programs, policies, benefits, privileges and responsibilities bestowed upon our Members. It is our desire that you will become knowledgeable about the club and find ease in using it.

1. OPEN THE APPLE APP STORE OR GOOGLE PLAY STORE ON YOUR SMARTPHONE OR TABLET.

2. SEARCH FOR CLUBHOUSE ONLINE.

3. DOWNLOAD THE CLUBHOUSE ONLINE APP AND WAIT FOR IT TO INSTALL.

4. OPEN THE CLUBHOUSE ONLINE APP. (THE APP WILL ASK IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO ANSWER “YES” IF YOU WISH TO KEEP UP TO DATE WITH CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PROMOTIONS.)

5. ENTER YOUR CLUB NAME.

6. ENTER YOUR CLUB WEBSITE USERNAME AND PASSWORD AND PRESS THE SIGN IN BUTTON. (IF YOU DON’T HAVE A CLUB WEBSITE USERNAME AND PASSWORD, VISIT THE MEMBER REGISTRATION PAGE ON THE CLUB WEBSITE.)

MINIMUM SPENDING

All levels of Membership have a minimum monthly or annual spending requirement for food and beverage. This minimum does not include tax, service charges or gratuity. All food, beverage, take-outs, and clubhouse social events are applied toward Member minimums. All dining room, patio, Mulligan’s Bar, beverage cart and event purchases apply towards the monthly minimum.

$300 Quarterly : This is not charged up front, but rather totaled at the end of every calendar quarter.

MONTHLY STATEMENTS

The statement will be dated the last day of the month; however, the dues billed on each statement are for the upcoming month. If you find an error on your statement, please contact the Accounting Office with a note of explanation or a phone call and an adjustment will be made. Signing your Member Number clearly on every check and making sure other Members in your family use the correct number will help to eliminate such errors. CCO’s bylaws require that statements be paid in full within 30 days after the date of the statement.

GOLFING MEMBERS OPTIONAL CHARGES:

Locker Rental: $100 per year

Handicap: $40 per Member, per year

DINING

DINING ROOM, PATIO & MULLIGAN’S

It is expected that all persons will choose to dress in a fashion befitting the surroundings and atmosphere provided in the setting of the club and exercise sound judgment in dress. The club may publish dress requirements from time to time. The club is entitled to make the final determination, in its sole discretion, as the appropriateness of any person’s dress or attire.

The attire for lunch and dinner in the clubhouse is country club casual. Swim wear or bare feet are not appropriate attire for the clubhouse. Members are responsible for sharing the dress code with their family members and Guests.

We request reservations to help us ensure a pleasurable dining experience. Knowing the number in your party, room choice and your expected time of arrival will allow us to better serve our Members and Guests. If you have special requests such as a seating preference, dietary restrictions or food allergies, please notify a Team Member. We will be happy to accommodate you and your Guests. Take -out orders are available. Specialty items such as baked goods, party trays and hors d’oeuvre platters are also available, but require a two-day notice. Our Team is also available for off-site catering for private functions. Please contact the club for more information.

POOL-SIDE - THE PATIO

The Patio offers a delicious full menu, including tropical drinks, kids menu, sandwiches, salads, candy and ice cream treats.

GOLF SHOP

The golf shop also offers beer, sandwiches and thirst quenchers when the Patio is not open or convenient.

If your service or food does not meet your expectations, please immediately make a Team Member aware so it may be corrected for you. It is our pleasure to make your dining experience a great one; we need to hear when we have not fulfilled our obligations.

TEE TIMES

Members are encouraged to make tee times by using the online tee time system in the club’s app or the website, or you may call the golf shop at 352.237.6644 ext 1. Tee times may be made up to two weeks in advance. All Members must check into the golf shop prior to teeing off. In an effort to better serve the Members, and in the case of an emergency, we do need to know when you are on the golf course. All play must start from the designated tee of the day. Please note the golf course is closed all day on Mondays.

CARTS

Golfers utilizing carts are required to stop into the golf shop and sign for their cart prior to play.

DRESS CODE (Practice Facility & Course)

Gentlemen – Golf shirts with sleeves and collars must be worn. Bermuda-length shorts or pants; shorts must be mid-thigh or longer. Tank tops, denim jeans, gym shorts, tennis shorts, cutoffs, bathing suits and sweatpants are not permitted.

Ladies – Golf shirts with sleeves or collars, please. Bermuda length shorts and skirts or pants must be worn; shorts and skirts must be mid-thigh or longer. Blue denim jeans, gym shorts, tennis shorts, cutoffs, bathing suits, tank tops and halter tops are not permitted.

Dependents – Golf shirts, golf T-shirts and Bermuda-length shorts or pants; shorts must be mid-thigh or longer. Tank tops , denim jeans, gym shorts, tennis shorts, cutoffs, bathing suits and sweatpants are not permitted.

Shoes – Soft-spiked golf shoes or tennis shoes only. Please use caution while playing the hilly terrain.

PRACTICE RANGE

The Practice Range is open daily, excluding Mondays, from 7AM to 7PM for your convenience. Range balls are available to CCO Members and their Guests. You will encounter some days when we ask that you confine your full shots to the mats.

PACE OF PLAY

Golf rounds at CCO should take no more than four hours and fifteen minutes to complete. Please maintain your pace by keeping up with the group in front of you. Should you find yourself falling behind, please allow the group behind you to play through. Please be considerate and keep things moving once you have started your round. Should you need advice on pace of play, the Golf Team will be happy to assist.

GUEST PLAY

Members are encouraged to bring Guests to enjoy your fine golf course and club. As a Member, if you wish to entertain more than three Guests in one round, please contact the Head Professional. Guests who reside within the community may not play golf more than three times during the golfing season. You may purchase Guest Passes at a discounted rate throughout the season. Please have your Guest name(s) available when you call for a tee time.

DEPENDENT GOLFERS

Dependent golfers shall be entitled to play at all times, based upon availability, with exceptions being at the discretion of the Golf Professional. All dependent golfers must start at the first tee unless granted permission from the Professional Staff. Children under the age of 15 must either be accompanied by an adult or have approval from the Professional Staff.

GOLF LESSONS

The PGA Professional Team is available to assist you in improving your golf game. Arrangements for Golf Instruction may be made by contacting the golf shop or one of the PGA Instructors.

COURSE MAINTENANCE

You may notice the Maintenance Building by the 3rd green, which is home to our outstanding Golf Course Maintenance Team. If you notice anything that needs attention on the course, such as an area of injured turf, you may contact the Golf Professional Team to inquire about it. Periodically you will see the Team working on the course. Rest assured, all precautions are being taken to protect our Members and Guests.

ADDITIONAL GOLF INFORMATION

Please note that the golf course is a high-risk lightning area. All structures on the golf course are rest areas and do not have lightning protection . It is the responsibility of each golfer to be aware of changing weather conditions and to seek shelter. Be safe, please.

DEMO CLUBS

If you would like to try new clubs from the golf shop, you are always welcome to do so. Just ask one of the Professional Team Members.

POOL & TENNIS

The pool at Country Club of Ocala is a hub of activity for the entire family, during the summer. The pool is open year round, from dawn until dusk, weather permitting. There is no fee for you, your children or your child-care provider. There is a guest fee if you wish to bring Guests.

The Patio is open every day and offers sandwiches, salads, kids’ menu items, beverages, candy and ice cream treats. Just sign a check as you normally would, if you were in the clubhouse. We request no glassware in the pool area for safety reasons. There are changing and shower rooms available in the tennis clubhouse locker rooms for changing into swim wear. Floating toys are allowed with permission of the pool staff. No outside food or beverage may be brought onto club property.

SPECIAL EVENTS & CATERING

Country Club of Ocala has a long history of treating private events as if it were our own. Our Event Coordinators will assist you in customizing your menu, decor, entertainment and more. We offer a range of menu options, wireless connections for seminars, outdoor amenities for wedding ceremonies or summer barbecues. Contact the Club’s Events Office, schedule a private tour and begin planning your special event today!
