If it is not possible to maintain a sufficient distance to overhead power lines, the owner/operator must put alternative safety measures in place in conjunction with the owner or operator of the power lines, for example by arranging to have the electrical power switched off. What to do after contact with cables carrying high voltage current: --Do not get out of the loader. --Drive the loader away from the danger area. --Warn any people around the loader not to come any closer or touch the vehicle. --Arrange to have the power switched off. --Do not get out of the loader until you are sure that the cable you came into contact with and which is now damaged has been disconnected from the electrical supply and is definitely no longer carrying a live voltage.
