NOTE

risk of technical damage. ► Service the transmission and the axles according to the inspection intervals specified in this operating manual.

NOTE

checking / filling and draining screws can be found in the same place on the front and rear axles.

Checking the axle oil level

NOTE

The complete axle shares a common oil supply. You can check the oil level on the differential housing.

1. Stop the loader on a horizontal surface and set the parking brake. 2. Lower the lift frame as far as it will go. 3. Turn off the engine. 4. remove the hexagonal screw item a (Fig. 113). 5. The transmission oil must be at or below the bottom edge of the filler neck. 6. If necessary, top up the transmission oil. 7. Screw the hexagonal screw back in item a (Fig. 113).

Changing the axle oil

CAUTiON

danger of scalding from hot transmission oil! ► avoid contact with hot transmission fluid. Wear protective gloves.

ENViRONMENT NOTE

danger of environmental damage! ► Avoid environmental damage. do not allow oil and oil-containing waste to spill on the ground or get into bodies of water! ► collect leaking transmission oil and dispose of it in an ecologically sound manner.

NOTE

use a sufficiently dimensioned receptacle for the old hydraulic fluid and use the correct oil grade (see the chapter „Specifications and filling quantities“). The transmission oil is viscous. replace the oil when it is warm and open the fill screws: this will allow it to drain more quickly. 1. Stop the loader on a horizontal surface and set the parking brake. 2. Lower the lift frame as far as it will go. 3. Turn off the engine. 4. Place a sufficiently large receptacle under the drain opening of the differential housing item b (Fig. 113). 5. remove the hex socket screw item a (Fig. 113); the transmission oil will now drain more quickly. 6. remove the hex socket screw item b (Fig. 113). 7. The transmission oil drains off.
