10.7.10 maintaining the collapsible driver’s canopy

1. Stop the loader on a horizontal surface with a hard foundation and set the parking brake. 2. Lower the lift frame as far as it will go. 3. Turn off the engine. 4. Position the jack under the axle next to the wheel to be changed. make sure that the loader cannot slip off the jack. 5. unscrew the wheel bolts. 6. raise the jack just high enough so that the wheel does not touch the ground. 7. remove the wheel bolts and take off the wheel. 8. Put on the new wheel and the wheel bolts. 9. Tighten the wheel bolts. 10.Lower the jack back down. 11.Alternately tighten the wheel bolts opposite each other to the specified tightening torque.

risk of accident due to damaged or incorrectly repaired roPS/FoPS protective structures! ► carry out visual inspections regularly and every time the roPS/FoPS protective structures come into use. ► have any damage rectified immediately. repair work on rOPS or FOPS protective structures must only be carried out by authorized specialists. If in any doubt, always replace rOPS or

FOPS protective structures as a complete unit. ► Never drill holes in roPS/FoPS protective structures.

check the following during the visual inspection:

• Are all securing pins in place and secured? • For screw connections, are all screws properly tightened? • is there damage to any steel parts (flaking paint, cracks, etc.)? • Are all safety stickers present and clearly visible?

With the exception of any cleaning that may be necessary, the collapsible driver’s canopy does not require any special maintenance. However, it is advisable to grease the security pins (Fig. 114) every now and then, to prevent corrosion.
