Safety Do not try to climb onto or off of a moving machine.
KEEP CLEAR
All personnel should be made AWARE of the HAZARD ZONE and be kept clear of this zone and it should be considered off limits to all individuals while the machine is operating.
Do not use the seat armrest or joystick as handle when entering or leaving the cab. Do not use the machine foot controls as steps.
The HAZARD ZONE is the area around the machine when the machine is being operated. When approaching an operating machine on foot, stay at least 150M/500 feet away from the machine and all related attachments including the grapple, delimber, topping saw and ground saws until the operator recognizes your presence. Make sure that all equipment is shut down with the attachment resting securely on stable ground before advancing to the machine. Always avoid the discharge path of all saws.
When mounting or dismounting the machine always use the 3 point technique; use 1 hand with 2 feet or 2 hands with 1 foot.
WARNING
Wear a suitable hearing protective device such as earmuffs or earplugs to protect against noise. Prolonged exposure to loud noise can cause impairment or loss of hearing.
Avoid mounting or dismounting the machine in areas with slippery surfaces. Dry, deice, clean up or cover slippery surfaces with an anti-slip material before mounting or dismounting the machine.
Always use the handrails and steps provided when mounting and dismounting from the machine. Do not jump off the machine at any time.
