SERVICING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Conduct maintenance inspections at least as frequently as recommended in SECTION 3 of the OPERATOR'S MANUAL. When servicing or repairing equipment, shut the engine down, and disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from both batteries. Install a “DO NOT START ENGINE” sign on the operator’s cab door and in the engine compartment when making repairs to the machine.
Safety This machine is equipped with sensitive electronic control equipment, prior to welding:NOTE: Wait for 30 seconds after turning key switch off before turning the battery disconnect switch off. The engine ECM requires time after the engine is turned off to record the engine data and log the information for the current operating session. If the battery disconnect is turned off too soon, the data will not be recorded and an error message will be displayed when the battery power is turned back on and the key switch is turned on.

Turn Battery Disconnect Switch to the OFF position and disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from both batteries.

DISCONNECT THE TWO MULTI-PIN PLUGS FROM THE ENGINE CPU
The radiator and the engine cooling system should be cleaned and serviced at least daily to maintain moderate engine temperatures.

WARNING This machine is equipped with a reversible cooling fan. Exercise care when working in this area with the engine running.
Disconnect the engine CPU (Central Processing Unit) and engine wiring harness by unplugging the multi-pin connectors.
This machine is equipped with a reversible cooling fan to facilitate cleaning of the charge air cooler, radiator and oil cooler assembly. Exercise care when working in this area with the engine running. If the fan switch in the cab is in the AUTO position, the fan could turn ON and/or go into REVERSE mode without warning. Prior to welding on any part of the machine, it should be cleaned and a fire extinguisher should be made available at the welding location. Care must be taken in attaching the welding machine grounding clamp so electrical current does not pass through bearings, especially the center joint bearing.

Disconnect the Plus 1 Controller by unplugging the 2 multi-pin connectors.
