7.21.1 Limit switch for start interlock ‒ Check
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
Note: In the OFF position, the limit switch initiates a start interlock, i.e. the engine cannot be started. Checking limit switch for start interlock
1. Check whether switches (3) and guard plate (1) with engine support (4) are installed on both sides of flywheel housing (2). 2. Check whether both switches (3) are actuated. 3. If switches (3) and/or guard plate (1) with engine support (4) is/are not installed: • Screw on guard plate (1) with engine support (4). • Then screw on switch (3), ensuring that the switch (3) is actuated by the guard plate (1). 4. If switch (3) and guard plate (1) are installed, but switch (3) is in the OFF position: • Make certain that the guard plate (1) at the side of the switch (3) is not distorted. • Release guard plate (1) and screw on such that the switch (3) is actuated.
