Note: full - load engine oil temperature can approximately 250°F a sustained basis, and can intermittently reach temperatures between 250°F 270°F . Sustained temperatures 250°F and intermittent temperatures 270°F are acceptable. However , engine oil operation temperatures exceed 250°F more than 20% the total engine operating and the oil has a minimum 300 hours service, the oil must changed.
