TRANSPORTING THE EXCAVATOR LOADING THE EXCAVATOR PARTS ONTO FLAT BED TRAILERS OR RAILWAY CARS For conveniences reasons, and due to its dimensions and its weight, the excavator has to be dismantled into suitable parts which can be lifted with a crane and carried with a flatbed trailer. Use only suitable transporting devices and lifting tackle with sufficient load carrying capacity. Before loading, park the flat bed trailer on firm and level ground and block the wheels. DANGER To lift the excavator uppercarriage we recommend the use of the LIEBHERR loading tools specialy worked out to perform this operation with the maximal safety. The chart thereafter indicates for the heaviest parts of the excavator, the total weight, the dimensions, the location of the lifting points L and the location of the latching points P.
