Control and operation

The load capacity values achieve a maximum of 75% of the tip load or 87% of the hydraulic lifting power according to ISO 10567. The permissible load capacity is related to the factors that follow:

The overload warning device does not release the machine operator from the responsibility of only lifting loads that are known and within the safe working load of the machine in accordance with the load lift chart.

With the specified load, the machine can be rotated from 360° on even and horizontal ground.

Check of the overload warning system

The overload warning system must be checked for correct function every time the machine is started and before load lifting work.

Slowly extend the hoist cylinder to the stop.

Operate the hoist cylinder to the stop. The overload warning status symbol appears on the display. An audio warning sounds in the operator cab. If a malfunction occurs: Do not lift loads.

Have the overload warning system repaired.

DANGER!

Tipping over of the machine! The overload warning system does not shut down the machine if the permissible load torque is exceeded. The operator of the machine is only informed of the situation. Death.

Follow the safety instructions related to load lifting. Follow the instructions if the overload warning system is triggered.

Push the key S18

The overload warning system is activated. The LED of the key comes on.

If the overload warning system is triggered: overload warning status symbol is shown on the display. Reduce the reach. or

Lower the load to the ground without increasing the reach.

Deactivation of the overload warning system

Notice

There is an increased pressure in the hydraulic cylinders during earth-moving operations!

If the overload warning system is activated, it is triggered permanently. Switch off the overload warning system for earth-moving operations.

Push the key S18

The overload warning system is deactivated. The LED of the key goes out of view.

3.5Operating the excavator in safety modes

3.5.1Board E52 for safety mode of Diesel engine & servo control

The safety board E52 is situated at the rear end of the right side control desk. Thanks to this printed board, the excavator can, in case of a failure in the main electronic circuit, be maintained operating temporarily and with some restrictions.

Starting the Diesel engine in safety mode

In normal operation, the engine is started via the main electronic circuit when the ignition key is turned to start position.

In case the engine can no longer be started or kept running due to troubles in the control electronics, it can be started in safety operation via the starting switch S71

Turn the ignition key in start position and at the same time push the safety start switch S71 to the right.

Keep the switch pushed to the right until the engine starts

The warning light H11 turns on.

The symbol S71a is displayed on the screen.

The engine is now operating in safety mode.
