CHAPTER 3 CHECKLISTS

PRE-DELIVERY

After the Baler has been completely set-up, the following inspections should be made before delivering the unit to the Customer. Check off each item after prescribed action is taken.

Check that:

Baler is NOT damaged in shipment. Check for such things as dents and loose or missing parts; correct or replace components as required.

Baler has been correctly assembled according to instructions in this manual. Check that Wheel Lugs and all other fasteners are tightly secured.

All grease fittings have been properly lubricated and that the Main Drive Gearcase is filled to proper level. See Lubrication chapter of this manual.

All Guards, Shields and Decals are in place and securely attached.

Wheels are properly mounted and that Tires are inflated to the proper pressures listed in the Service chapter.

All adjustments and timing settings have been made to comply with settings given in the Adjustments chapter of this manual.

Model and Serial Numbers, for this unit, are recorded in space provided on this page and page 2.

Connect the Baler PTO to a 540 RPM tractor and test-run the unit while checking that proper operation is exhibited by all components.

Check that:

All Drives, Chains and Mechanisms are operating smoothly and properly adjusted.

The PTO Drive Shafts rotate freely inside the PTO Shields.

On a unit with a Bale Thrower (as applicable), the Hydraulic Hoses and all connections do NOT leak under pressure.

The PTO Clutch is NOT seized and slips correctly. I acknowledge that pre-delivery procedures were performed on this unit at outlined above.
