RULES--------------13 STANDARD TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 13.01 STANDARD BOLTS TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
The standard tightening torques for bolts and nuts are listed below. The tightening torque values shown apply to bolts previously dipped in engine oil~bath. This torque data does not apply to the bolts with which nylon packings or other non-ferrous metal washers are to be used, or which require tightening to otherwise specified torque. Unless otherwise specified in the assembly instructions, bolts should be tightened without using Loctite. The strength rating of each screw, is indicated on each screw head (fig. 48)
