• Read and understand this Operating & Maintenance Manual before you begin to operate the dump truck.
• Never operate the dump truck if you are under the influence of alcohol, medicines or other drugs.
• You must wear personal safety equipment, for safe operation.
• Use helmet to increase protection of your head.
• When you climb up or down from the dump truck, always climb with your face towards the dump truck and use steps and handles. Always use two hands and one foot, or one hand and two feet.
DO NOT JUMP!
• Do not climb on surfaces which are not intended for this, always use the surfaces which are provided with anti-slip coatings.
• The cab is the driver's protection and conforms to the requirements for roll-over protection (ROPS) and falling objects (FOPS), specified in the standard for these. The precondition for providing protection is that the driver uses the seat belt and remains in the cab. Therefore, hold on to the steering wheel if the dump truck should roll over. • When the dump truck is operated, the door should be shut.
• Check that the seat is adjusted for comfortable and safe operation of controls before operation.
• Check that the steering column is adjusted for comfortable operation, and confirm that it is fixed before operation. DO NOT ADJUST POSI-
TION OF THE STEERING WHEEL
WHILE DRIVING!
• Always use the seat belt during driving!
If there is instructor or passanger in the cab, be sure that they are seated on the instructor seat and are using seat belts!
• If instructor seat is not fitted, instructor or passenger may not stay in the cab during driving.
• Check that the brake system warning light is not lighted before driving.
• The cab has two exits, one door and the front sidewindow on the right hand side as emergency exit. The front sidewindow is opened by pulling the handle under the window backwards. The rubber seal must be pulled completely off before pushing the front sidewindow out.
