Performance chart

Below diagram gives guidelines for calculation of the dump truck gradeability performance related to rolling + grade resistance. The traction capabilities depend on the ground conditions and surroundings, i.e. available wheel grip (friction), tyre pattern, weight on the wheels, etc. How to find downhill gradeability performance: 1.Read from actual dump truck weight (A) up to the percentage gradient (B). (Rolling resistance is not included in the percentage grade). 2.From this point, read horizontally to the curve with highest speed range (C). 3.Then down to maximum speed (D).
