Safety rules 9. Make sure no-one is between the drive wheels and the maize picker when pressing the rocker switch or tip switch for the maize picker swinging device. 10. Make sure no-one is in the swinging range when swivelling the maize picker. 11. Increased risk of injury when installing and removing the knives. 12. Intake augers, intake discs and similar cannot be fully secured by design measures because of their function. Therefore, keep an adequate safety distance from these moving parts during operation. 13. Never start drive shafts turning without appropriate protection. 14. Always switch off the drive and the engine before carrying out troubleshooting, and for repair, maintenance and cleaning work. – Remove the ignition key! – Switch off the battery master switch! 15. Always switch off the battery master switch before starting work on the electrical system! 16. Reinstall protective devices after maintenance work! 17. Mounting the maize picker onto the combine harvester involves risk of injury! 18. Make sure no-one is between the combine harvester and the maize picker without securing the vehicle with the parking brake and/or wheel chocks, to prevent it from rolling away! Follow all other safety rules in the operator's manual for the combine harvester.
