23 Adjusting the lowering speed - JAGUAR880 /860 /840 /820:

The lowering speed of the mower unit can be set at the throttle(1) on the 3/3solenoid valve. Check or set the lowering speed with the hydraulic oil at operating temperature so that the mower unit drops to the ground from a fully-raised position in approx. 5 to 6 seconds.

Basic settings: Lower the attached mower unit until it touches the ground and fully relieve the mower unit hydraulic cylinders. First turn throttle(1) in to the end stop and then turn it back out by 13/4 turns.

Lowering speed: Faster = turn throttle(1) out Slower = turn throttle(1) in Should the side mower units hit the ground too soon (quickly) during the lowering procedure, the lowering speed must be reduced again. (Fig.22) For further information - see the forage harvester operating instructions.

Adjustingthe lowering speed of the mower unit suspension

The lowering speed is factory-set and can be changed by means of the adjustable throttle(1). To do this, release the lock nut. Turn the socket head cap screw in or out with an Allen key. Tighten the lock nut again.

Increase lowering speed = Turn cap screw out Reduce lowering speed = Turn cap screw in (Fig.23,24)
