5. Remove each brush or brush pair and measure the wear of each brush.

6. If any one of the brushes has worn sufficiently, all brushes in the system must be replaced. On 1,200 kg capacity trucks, new brushes are 25 mm long and must be replaced when they have worn to 17 mm (brush kit part number 480532).

On 1,600 kg capacity trucks, new brushes are 23 mm long and must be replaced when they have worn to 16 mm (brush kit part number 477828).
