INTRODUCTION This manual contains maintenance information for the Reed SK-35 Blast Hole Drill. Presented in three parts, the manual describes the physical aspects of the drill, explains the functional operation, and provides troubleshooting charts with repair and disassembly procedures. Part I presents a physical and functional description of the equipment, Part II covers troubleshooting and repair, while Part III presents detailed subsystem descriptions and maintenance information. Included in Part III are separate manuals as appropriate for equipment components made by other manufacturers. The Service Manual is one of a family of manuals required for effective operation and maintenance of the SK-35. Other related manuals are: 1.

In using this manual, you should first become familiar with the overall function of the SK-35 Blast Hole Drill and with the individual subsystems and component units as described in Part I. Then you will be able to relate operating failures with subsystem malfunctions, and you will be able to identify the symptomatic troubleshooting information with the related functions.
