Entering a Manual Position A new manual position can only be entered if the Star key” is flashing. It will only flash on 6 shields ahead of the existing position until the turn point is reached. Then it will flash on 6 shields in both directions so that the position can be moved in the opposite direction.

Pressing the Star key (0-key) moves the manual position to the operator’s shield. To confirm this and mark the shearer position, the Jumbo LED, immediately above the IR receiver window will be lit.

SRB Cancelled
Pressing the SRB key and the Stop key is the recommended way to stop SRB if there is no emergency. Shields that have been triggered will complete their Autosequence so they will not be left off the roof. SRB can also be canceled by pressing the Quickstop button on any face PMC-R. In this case, all shield movement stops immediately. When SRB is canceled, all shields in the SRB Area (defined by parameters "Beginning Shield" and "Ending Shield") will "notice-beep" and will show the SRB Canceled display message. © Caterpillar
