NOTE: Allison Prognostics must only used with Allisonapproved TES 295 fluids.

To make sure the fluid is qualified for use in Allison transmissions, check for a TES 389 TES 295 fluid license approval numbers the container , consult the lubricant manufacturer . Consult your Allison T ransmission dealer distributor before using other fluid types.

CAUTION: Disregarding minimum fluid temperature limits can result in transmission malfunction reduced transmission life.

When choosing the optimum viscosity grade fluid, duty cycle, preheat capabilities, and/or geographical location must taken into consideration. T able 2–1 lists the minimum fluid temperatures which the transmission may safely operated without preheating the fluid. Preheat with auxiliary heating equipment running the equipment vehicle with the transmission in P (Park) PB (AutoApply Parking Brake) , if available, N (Neutral) for a minimum minutes before attempting range operation.
