1.2 Engine start operation from Upper control

Start the engine from the Upper control as follows. (1) Turn the engine key switch to its UPPER control position at the Lower control panel.

(2) Step on the platform, then operates the engine start switch without depressing the foot switch to start the engine.

The engine failure and fuel level lights located on the upper control panel function as follows.

a) Engine failure light.

When the engine key switch is set to its UPPER control position, the engine failure light on the upper control panel goes on, and then the light goes off as soon as the engine starts.

Caution: If the engine failure light goes on whilst the engine is in motion, it is because of an engine failure. So, stop using the machine immediately and check the engine. To identify the engine failure, check the charge, oil pressure and overheat warning lights located on the lower control panel.

b) Fuel level light.

This light goes on when the fuel level is low. Refill the fuel tank with diesel fuel, if this light goes on. This light goes on when the remaining fuel reaches about 23 liters (6 gallons).
