REFITTING THE DIFFERENTIAL................................................................................................................................D1

Crown wheel and pinion and differential

Refitting the differential

– Sling the differential assembly using one of the crown screws . – Place the assembly in its housing.

– Refit the retainer with the screws (A). – Refit the nut (B) using tool n° 0011360210 then the retainer (C). If shimming has not been performed, pre-tightening is enough.

Note:If shimming has been performed, tighten the screws fastening the bracket (A) at 16 ± 1 daN·m, and the nut (B). Ensure you check the torque, which must be included between 0,42 ± 0,1 daN·m.

If not, increase or reduce tightening of the nut (B) to be within tolerance.

Note: as an indication, the nut (B) must be tightened at about 4 daN·m.

– Clamp using the retainer (C) at 2 ± 0,5 daN·m.
