In total, there were 8 different types of engines you could get. Some of these are the 1.0L, the 1.3, 1.6 diesel, 1.6 turbo etc. It came with a 4-speed manual, 5-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic gearbox, although, more rare. All told, about 6.3 million second-generation Golfs were built. The Volkswagen Golf Mk2 is a hatchback, the second generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Volkswagen Golf Mk1. It was Volkswagen’s highest volume seller from 1983 and ended in (German) production in late 1992, to be replaced by the Volkswagen Golf Mk3. The Mk2 was larger than the Mk1; its wheelbase grew slightly (+ 75 mm), Weight was up accordingly by about 120 kg. The Golf mk2 was available as a 3- and 5-door hatchback versions, but no cabriolet versions. Instead, the mk1 continued the production, with minor changes

First attempt at a luxury car The Audi v8 quattro was a big luxury car produced by Audi from the year 1988 to 1994, when it was replaced by the Audi A8. The Audi V8 was based on 2 older cars, the Audi 100 and Audi 200 and was their first attempt to try to make a luxury car inte the biggest class. The features for the Audi V8 included the 3.6 or 4.2 L V8 engine as the name suggests, with either 250 horsepower or 280 horsepower. With that came a 4, 5 and 6-speed electronically controlled automatic gearbox providing Audi’s Quattro AWD system. On the inside the V8 came standard with a lot of different features, including a BOSE audio system with 8 speakers all around, walnut wood trim, leather interior and heated seats. The car was produced in Germany and in total, 21,565 copies of the Audi V8 were created between 1988 and its end in 1994. Today, about 2,000 cars are registered in germany as of 2018

Volkswagens blue devil In the year 2002, Volkswagen produced a very uneque car with an even more uneque engine. Under the hood of this Golf Mk4 R32 sits a 3.2-liter V6. That doesn’t sound so impressive, but it had a unique design that stood out to other cars; the cylinder angle. Usually, the V6 engines have a 60 or 90 degree cylinder angle. But here they decided to switch it up a bit, by changing the degree of the cylinders angle to 15 degrees, meaning that the pistons were a lot closer to each other. And thanks to this angle, it made a noise that is loved by a lot of people. It is unquestionable that the mk4 is a pretty rare car, especially in the US. Both the mk4 and its successor, the mk5, were sold in the US when there wasn’t a big market for hothatch cars such as the mk4 and mk5. Because of that, not many cars were produces. Worldwide, only around 10 000 were made, with the most common colour being deep blue, Diamond blakc and reflex silver

The Seat leon Cupra

This Seat is the first of its most iconic cars, the Leon. This car was launched in 1999 only available as a hatchback. In was based on the Volkswagen group A4 platform (compact and mid-sized cars) and because of that, shares a lot of components in common with other VW group cars such as the Golf mk4, Audi a3 2001 and the VW Bora. Because they’re sharing the same components, they also share alot of the same engines, such as the 1.4 L I4, 1.6 L, 1.8 L Turbo etc. As Seat’s first mid-sized car as a part of the VW group, the Leon mk1 was marketed as a slightly cheaper, but sportier variant of the Golf. It got a more aggressive look, and the more expensive versions had more powerful engines, more solid suspensions for better handling. The Leon was mainly produced in Martonell, Seat’s car factory, and produced around 13,401 cars in the year 2000.
