Henley, where everyone is welcome.

Welcome to Henley.

You have a big part to play in helping us design and build more homes and communities that will bring families and friends together. Your work will help us create happier and healthier environments for these Aussie families across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

At Henley, we celebrate all cultures and know that the more diverse and inclusive we are, the better we can serve our community. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land of our office buildings and where we build our homes, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We are proud to be part of the Sumitomo Forestry Group and our shared philosophy of fairness and integrity.

On behalf of our owners, Peter Hayes and Rob Bowen; and Yasuhiro Odagane from Sumitomo Forestry Group, thank you for choosing Henley. Together, we look forward to changing and improving the lives of more Aussie families. Above all, let’s have fun along the way.

Who are we?

Henley Properties Group.

Henley Properties Group was founded in 1989 by three friends Peter, Rob and John with a vision to make home ownership more affordable for Australian families.

We have built over 58,000 homes across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia under the brands Henley Homes, Plantation Homes and Edgewater Homes. This makes us the 6th largest detached home builder in Australia 2022/23.

In 2009, we became a part of the 330+ year old global builder Sumitomo Forestry Group. Sumitomo has given us the resources to confidently and continually invest in the business, well ahead of the market.

Proud to be part of and backed by a $7 billion parent company - The Sumitomo Forestry Group.

HENLEY. WELCOME.
Make a difference.
We give back to make our community a better place.

Doing it for the kids.

From the very early days, our directors have been committed to building a better future for our community. This started as a plan to donate $10,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Victoria, to help save sick kids. The work the hospital does touches the lives of the families of our team, trades and suppliers.

They soon realised they could do more, bringing together volunteer land partners, trades and suppliers to build and donate a completed home for the Good Friday Appeal. Shortly after, this program commenced in Queensland supporting The Mater Little Miracles Foundation.

We are overwhelmed with the generosity of all the trades and suppliers who volunteer their time and resources, which means 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these homes are received by the hospitals.

We have built 77 charity homes, raising more than $33.7m globally for children’s hospitals and causes close to our heart…. we’re still going.

“We believe it’s such a good thing to dothe right thing to do, and if we manage to save one baby’s life, then it makes it all worth it.”
- Rob Bowen, Founder & Director.
Make a difference. We give back to make our community a better place.

Doing it for our trades.

We are a proud supporter of Trade Mutt and This Is A Conversation Starter. TIACS provides free, early intervention and short-term mental health support to tradies and their families in the form of free text, chat and call back service direct to mental health clinicians. TIACS does not require a mental health plan from GP’s.

Nearly 5,000 of our tradies and team across Australia proudly wear colourful Trade Mutt work wear designed to start conversations about mental health.

A percentage of every TradeMutt shirt we purchase for our team and tradies goes towards the not-for-profit TIACS established by TradeMutt founders, Ed Ross and Dan Allen. Back in 2019, Ed & Dan had a vision “to be the mental health service people tell their mates about.” Today, over 18,000 Australians have found support through TIACS.

Offering up to 8 free counselling sessions, TIACS is just a call or text away. The service is also available to anyone who may be a carer, friend or loved one who is doing it tough.

TIACS – for more info visit tiacs.org or contact 0488 846 988

“Our tradies are such an invaluable part of our extended team so it is important for them to know that we have their backs.”
