K-12: DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR INFECTION CONTROL. HE N D E R S ON IN SIG HTS | COVID-19 SERI ES
In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, many school districts across the country have closed their doors for the spring semester, transitioning to distance learning and virtual classrooms for the remainder of the school year. In order for students and staff to return to their classrooms in the fall, districts must consider guidelines that protect the health and safety of all occupants. To do this, each learning space must be carefully evaluated to ensure infection control protocols are being met and accommodate social distancing wherever possible; this includes classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, multi-purpose rooms, and common areas.
