PT. Wiharta Karya Agung began the story some 50 years ago as pioneer among woven plastic packaging manufacturers in Indonesia Our first production line was woven plastic sacks (WPP).

Popularly known as jumbo bags, these are designed for a wide range of storage and carrying purposes. Generally, the capacity of these jumbo bags ranges from 500 Kgs to 2000 Kgs. Our FIBC is designed and manufactured to deliver outstanding performance, reliability, and versatility across various industries.

Product Features:

DIFFERENT TYPE OF FIBCs

Our FIBC bags also known as the "wicon®" brand, are capable of meeting your specific needs in four distinct types of FIBC bags, universally labeled as Type A, B, C, or D. These types differ based on their electrostatic properties and grounding requirements.

Type A FIBC / Bulk Bag (no electrostatic protection).

Made from plain-woven polypropylene and other non-conductive fabrics, there is no static protection provided by Type A FIBCs.

Type A big bags can be used to safely transport non-flammable products. There should not be any flammable solvents or gases present around a Type A big bag.

Type B FIBC / Bulk Bag (Surface breakdown voltage of <6kV).

Made from plain-woven polypropylene fabrics or other non-conductive material but have a low breakdown voltage material to prevent an incident where highly energetic, and dangerous propagating brush discharges occur.

This bags can be used to safely transport dry, flammable powders but not completely anti-static. There should not be any flammable solvents or gases present around the bulk bag.

Each type of FIBC is engineered to meet specific safety, handling, and environmental requirements, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and storage of various products.

Type C FIBC / Bulk Bag (Grounded & electrically conductive).

Made from conductive fabric and come with conductive threads or tapes sewn into the fabric. These big bags are only electrically conductive when grounded, and extra measures are required during filling and unloading to prevent powerful sparks discharges.

This type of big bag can be used to transport flammable powder products and is safe when flammable gases, vapors, and dust are present in the environment.

Type D FIBC / Bulk Bag (static dissipative or antistatic).

Type D bags are made from antistatic and static dissipative fabrics, manufactured with fabric containing quasi-conductive yarns. Type D anti-static FIBC bulk containers are resistant to brush discharges and sparks. The key advantage of these bags is that they don't need to be grounded during filling and unloading. This can considerably speed up workflows and ensure personnel safety.

This type of bag can be used to transport flammable powder products in environments where solvents and combustible gases are present.

FIBC CONSTRUCTION TYPES

4-PANEL

Constructed with five main body components: 4 side panels + base. These bags are ideal for stacking since they tend to maintain their shape better than other types of bags. They are suitable for transporting and storing chemicals, grains, sugar, waste materials, and building materials like gravel, firewood, and more.

U-PANEL

Constructed with 3 body panels (often referred to as U+2 to reflect the single piece of material sewn together with the 2 side panels). This bag is most useful for transporting any type of flake, pellet, powder, granule or free-flowing material.

CIRCULAR

These bags are designed with a single piece of fabric, turned into a tube-like, cylindrical shape, with flat panels sewn at the top and bottom. This bag is a common shape of FIBC used primarily in the packaging of solid dry bulk products. It is suitable for transporting and storing foodstuffs, grain, beans, cement, sugar, etc..

BAFFLE

Baffles are extra fabric panels or pieces of string sewn into each of the bag’s four corners to retain its square shape, which prevents bulging and sagging even after being fully filled. Baffled Bulk Bags are most useful for storing low-density products mainly. They are able to maintain the cube shape better and are ideal for storing powder, flake, and other sifted products.

Based in Gresik, East Java, our manufacturing facility features vertically integrated production systems that offer products and solutions for packaging across a wide range of industries.

We are constantly evolving, utilizing cutting-edge infrastructure and the latest technology to provide our customers with supreme quality products and services.

It's in the meticulous crafting of every component, the precision in every process, and the unwavering attention to even the smallest element.

To meets all relevant industry and/or regulatory requirements, our internal in-house laboratories equipped with the Rig Machine to ensure the safe working load (SWL) of FIBC as per ISO standard. Furthermore, we maintain an extensive traceability system for each of our products, streamlining recall procedures and supporting root cause analysis in the event of any concerns. Each bag is marked with a distinct code number to identify the underlying cause of any issues.

To comply all the standard FIBC requirements. We do:

Cyclic Test

Drop Test

The bulk bag is dropped from specified heights based on the testing requirements of the Packing Group.The bulk bag cannot burst or allow product to escape at each bag height.

Tear Test

The FIBC is filled to maximum SWL capacity and cut by a knife. The cut must be at least 100 mm long at a 45-degree angle. The tear cannot expand in size more than 25% when a load equal to 2x the SWL is applied for five minutes.

The FIBC is placed on a platform filled at maximum SWL capacity. The platform is raised and forced to topple over from a specific height. The bulk bag cannot burst or leak.

Righting Test

The FIBC is filled to maximum SWL capacity and knocked onto its side, then righted into proper position by only 2 lift loops. The bag and loops should not show any sign of damage once righted.

Based on customer needs, We offer UN-certified solutions for transporting hazardous materials, and offer various dimension of Industry-Standard Safety Factor (SF).

UN Certified FIBCs are designed specifically to meet the requirements set forth by the United Nations for transporting and storing hazardous materials. Our UN bags are certified by International Materials Testing Institute to make sure that each of our FIBC bag is safe, functional, and up to rigorous international standards.

When it comes to the secure handling of FIBC bulk bags, it is crucial to be knowledgeable about the accurate Safe Working Load suitable for your load capacity.

Below is a comparative table to understand the differences between various dimension of Safety Factor (SF):

Cyclic Top lift test requires the filled bag to be hanged from its lift loops on a test rig devices as weight is added from the top. The bulk bag must maintain a total load of 6x SWL for 5 minutes.
