Learning begins at home, as the old ages goes. The main purpose is to bridge the gap between children's learning at school and at home. It is an avenue for parents to interact with their children and understand the content they are learning. In this way, they can provide other means of academic support for their children. Homework is an effective tool for learning. It develops a good study habit. Harmful effects of kid's health when consumed too much time on homework. One of the most advantage of homework is that encourages the kids' positive attitude about school. Completing homework early in the schooling years ensures that it becomes a habit, not an inconvenience. A high schooler comes home from school. He gets out his homework and gets started.The mom of the student said start your homework and then we will eat.The mom spends an hour at dinner, but the student is not done with his homework. He is asking his dad all types of questions, but he is too busy to help.That happens every day at this family home.When the boy got his test scores back later in the year, they were so low. Students have busy lifestyles and stress at home.They need time away from studies to appreciate what they learn.There are so many things that can help them prepare for life outside of school and giving a lot of homework causes stress to the student and family. I wanted to find a way to get schools to cut down on homework. Too many kids are doing badly on a test because of the time constraints and stress to complete homework. So let's do something about it. Evaluating My Homework

To truthfully evaluate myself this year, I was satisfied with the work I have produced this year. I have manage to show effort in my work and be able to fully complete a piece. For example, I was able to be an efficient worker when I was focused and work hard. While my work certainly wasn't the best, I was able to make it to the best of my ability. This year in Art, I have make improvement throughout the year. For example, I learn how to make a work complete. In my work last semester, all of my work lack detail and completeness. However, my work this semester, was able to improve, partly because it is sculpture, not drawings. I was able to be more bold with my work in areas of sculpturing and clay making. Next year, I believe that art class could incorporate different artforms such as photography, or digital art into the class. Still many teachers and researchers still agree that homework helps students achieve higher grades in school. The national PTA suggest that from K–3 grades there should be no more than 20 minutes a day, for 4–6 grades there should be 20–40 minutes of homework, and from 7–12 grades time varies do to types of subjects and number of subjects taken(KidSource). I'm afraid some people after a certain amount of time doing homework, they begin to shut down. However, there have been studies that show how outside of school learning improves in–class learning, and I agree with that. Without homework, I'd forget part of what we learned the previous day the minute my head hit the pillow. But, if you must skip a simple 90 minutes of soccer practice because homework is taking two hours longer than you thought, there's a problem. If you do have a lot of homework at a time, it helps to be organized. Prioritizing can help you to complete your homework assignments with minimal stress.
