Daniel Moore's side enjoyed a strong August period, picking up four wins, however our September form has strengthened our grip on second place. Hebburn perhaps dropped points at the start of the month as Jack Donaghy's volley was cancelled out by Tadcaster Albion, with The Brewers rescuing a 1-1 draw in North Yorkshire. We then entered The Isuzu FA Trophy on a Tuesday night in Trafford, and went behind after a poor first half. Robbie Spence netted an equaliser, before centreback Tom Devitt bagged the winner in the dying stages. The Hornets then encountered a number of home games - the first of which against Tadcaster. Moore's side stuck five past Ben Bottomley, though Albion did put up a fight by scoring three. The following week Stockton Town visited South Tyneside in The Isuzu FA Trophy and a brace from Olly Martin, alongside Amar Purewal's chip, gave us a 3-1 win. Our final September fixture came in midweek, where Shildon were the visitors. Chances were at a premium for injury-hit Hebburn, however Liam Murray popped up with the allimportant strike on 66 minutes.
