SHAUN NEWBROOK
HELLO AND WELCOME TO THIS AFTERNOON'S HOME FIXTURE AGAINST GRANTHAM TOWN.
It was a good result on Tuesday night against my former side Shildon. We always knew they'd come at us and it would possibly be a scrappy game since they lost their manager. We knew we needed to defend well to get that result. It was a 1-0 win and clean sheet so we'll take that all day. It was just another game ticked off the list for myself another three points and we move onto today. It was a different way of winning a football game we had quite a few players missing due to injuries and absence, so it shows the depth in our squad to grind out a victory like that. The mood in the dressing room is really good - we've said since the start of the season that we'd like to go unbeaten here. We want to make home a fortress we don't want teams to come here and take points from us easily. It'll be another tough game against Grantham Town this afternoon but we're back at home, so hopefully we can get another three points and continue our good run of form.
