Heather Mullinix, assistant editor, covers the Cumberland County Board of Education for the Chronicle, as well as other stories of interest. She began working for the newspaper in 2000 in the role of editor of the Glade Sun following her graduation from Tennessee Technological University. She began writing for the Chronicle in 2002 and took on the role of assistant editor in 2004. Mullinix said, “The school system touches so many lives in our community. It’s important to know about the successes of our students and teachers and the challenges they face.”
Ed Greif, Chronicle sports editor, has been a fixture at Cumberland County athletics since 1982, covering elementary, junior high and high school sports, community athletic leagues and local sporting events. His column “Good Grief” is published periodically, while his byline can be found year-round sharing the accolades of local athletes.
Jan Boston Sellers writes the weekly Around the Town column, a column she has penned since 1987. She married Michael Sellers of Atlanta in 1990. Sellers earned a Ph.D. in psychology and is a licensed professional counselor and Rule 31 Listed Family Mediator. She has worked at the TAD Center since December 1989. Sellers thanks all the readers who voted for her, adding, “My favorite part of writing my column is being able to write about our county’s students and their accomplishments.”
