I have so many great memories from practices, games, and team events that will stay with me forever. Being a part of such a close-knit group throughout my high school years was invaluable, and I can’t imagine my high school experience without it. In addition tothe friendships I made, I learned so many skills, both on and off the field, that I know will be so helpfulin this next chapter and beyond.”

The day I gave my Homecoming Speech to the Class of 2023.
It was not the public speaking itself, but the opportunity I had to share my gratitude for my classmates publicly. I get to go to school every day with people I admire, who uplift me, and who help me become my best self. I don’t think many of us take the time during our busy days to reflect on the power of our peers and thank them for the friendship they provide. During that speech Iwasable to connect with my classmates in a sincere way and thank them for the impact they have had on my life.”

ADVICEFORTHE CLASSOF2023

The reason each of our students chose Harvey most likely has to do with the community here, and their desire to engage in and contribute to a community. I would encourage them to take that same mindset into the world beyond Harvey, and to remember that no matter the size of the next community that they join, they can and should continue to seek out ways to connect.”
