Goals:

Expectations:
1. StudentsareexpectedtoarriveatschoolintheirHDCHwardrobeandremainsountilthe endoftheschoolday Thisincludes“spares,”breaks,andlunchhour
Wardrobe Basics:
TOPS:
● StudentsmustwearaMcCarthyshirtorMcCarthyHDCHsweatshirt.Shirtoptions include:

Important Clarifications

● SpecialclothingdesignedforclubsandteamsmayonlybewornonFridays
Other Considerations:

○ Itemsmustbecleanandingoodrepair
○ Clean,appropriateshoesmustbewornatalltimes
○ Courserelatedclothing(e.g.PE)willbeworninthoseclassesonly.
○ Incaseofawardrobemalfunctionatschool,theremaybeemergencywardrobe piecesavailabletoborrow.Emergencywardrobeisnotintendedtoreplacea forgottenuniform;thisisconsistentwiththeexpectationthatstudentsarrive dressedinuniformbefore9:00.

○ Criteriaforspecialdressdayswillbeintheannouncementsbeforethedate.

● Hatsmaynotbeworninthebuildingunlesstheyarepartofaspecial themeddressday
Procedure for Non-Compliance
1. Reminderfromteacherorstaffmemberand/orarestorativeconversation
2. Repeatedinstancesofnon-compliancewillbebroughttotheattentionoftheDeanof Students,whowillcommunicatewithparents/guardians.
3. Studentswhocontinueinnon-compliancewiththepolicywillbesenthomeuntiltheyare readytocommittoliveintothepolicy Acontractforimprovedcompliancegoing forwardmaybeimplemented.
