THE DINO-BIRD CONTROVERSY

FOR CULTURAL VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES www.havering.gov.uk/volunteer

Upminster Camera Club’s new project, lasting the whole of 2018, aims to capture the characters and lifestyle of people living, working or passing through the town. Come rain or shine, suitably identified photographers will capture images to illustrate people going about their normal life, be it shopping, visiting the hairdresser, socialising, enjoying the open spaces, crossing the road or using the railway station. Anything which represents a moment in time. The object is to prepare a historical record of the way people live, fashions and the present environment. In association with Havering Council, the images will be shown in a six-week exhibition at Havering Museum in 2019. They will then be archived by the museum and Havering Local Studies and Family History unit to become an historic record for future generations to enjoy. info@upminstercameraclub.co.uk www.upminstercameraclub.org.uk
