Welcome

Hatch End High School is a high performing, happy and thriving comprehensive school in the London Borough of Harrow. Our school ethos, We CARE: Co-operation, Ambition, Respect, Excellence, underpins everything we do, and we are looking for staff to join our dynamic team who share our values and want to make a difference to the lives of the students at Hatch End. We believe that personalised CPD lies at the heart of every successful school and at Hatch End High School we will ensure you receive a bespoke package CPD and career development opportunities. We are an active member of the Harrow Collegiate Teaching School Alliance, which means that staff have access to more than thirty professional development courses in the local area. This includes part-funded Masters Programmes with Saint Mary’s University; the nationally accredited National Award for Middle Leadership; subject specific training courses and bespoke coaching and mentoring, to name but a few. Our in-house training provision is also vast and staff at Hatch End High School can take part in a variety of Professional Development activities, including carrying out action-centred research, live coaching and working towards professional qualifications.

Hatch End High School has extensive experience in Initial Teacher Training, being the first school in Harrow to be welcomed onto the nationally renowned Teach First programme. Every year we welcome a cohort of the highest calibre university graduates to train across many different subjects in our outstanding curriculum. More recently, we have also played a key role in the Schools Direct Programme as part of the Harrow Collegiate Teaching School Alliance. Hatch End High School provides a happy, safe and calm learning environment. We have an excellent, well-qualified, enthusiastic and stable staff. Operating on a foundation of traditional values, Hatch End High School is an institution that welcomes change and regards itself as being at the forefront of development. Many staff have stayed for years, testament to the strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support, but we recognise the importance of balancing this with welcoming new, equally enthusiastic, staff to ensure we grow as a professional community. We encourage all prospective candidates to come and visit us to appreciate our very special working environment and we very much look forward to meeting you.
