DOMINIC JORDAN
BEHIND THE SCENES THE INSIDE TRACK WITH STEVENAGE FC CEO DOMINIC JORDAN I am delighted to be joining Stevenage FC and looking forward to getting going, working with a young, dynamic and talented admin team to drive the club forward. Whilst the team finds itself in a challenging position on the field currently, hit by multiple injuries and a recent Covid outbreak (I’m writing these notes whilst self-isolating myself), things are looking tough. But, out of adversity can come positive change and we will now see what we are really made of. With a new manager and eight games to go, we have it all to play for and your support will be more vital than ever now! In fact, it will make all the difference, the lift that carries the team through. We all need to come together, the fans and the town, to cheer the lads on and help get them across the line, especially over the four remaining home games. As the incoming CEO, I am directly appealing for everyone to rally their family & friends to come down to The Lamex Stadium and make the difference over these four games, be the twelfth man and help ensure that Stevenage FC retain their football league status. I can see that many changes and advancements have taken place over the past ten years or so at the Club, and much has been achieved on & off the field of play. Sometimes people can get anxious or left behind when change occurs, and it is my intention to make sure we bring everyone with us as we move forward. transparency and communication to make you our fans proud of Stevenage FC. Proud of what we stand for, and proud about how we go about our business. Talking about being proud, it is fantastic and right to be celebrating the amazing work that the Club through the Foundation and over 100 volunteers did within the community with the Careline campaign. Supplying over 15,000 sandwiches to 120 addresses across Stevenage, delivering over 400 prescriptions and made over 500 outbound phone calls to residents who needed support during the pandemic. The Club, Foundation and everyone who volunteered should be extremely proud of what was achieved with this wonderful initiative. We are also delighted to welcome our Match Sponsors Baumac Engineering and Match Ball sponsors Advanced Workplace Associates for today’s game. We really appreciate your support of the Club, as we do from all our valued partners. The commercial team and I will be looking to work even closer with our family of companies in the future to ensure we are taking every possible opportunity to engage and add value wherever we can. On the pitch, it was fantastic to see the Women’s team win Herts FA County Cup final beating Colney Heath in a convincing 3-1 win. A great achievement as the Women’s team continues to go from strength to strength. Finally, I want to thank the fans for your continued support home and away. It really does make a difference and everyone at the Club appreciates it. Get behind the team and enjoy the game. #TogetherforStevenage #TogetherforBoro
